October 2010 Report
President's Report - ARTHUR GREEN
Our last show was held on July 25th at the Marlboro Holiday Inn. As always the show was a success, thanks to Bill, Linda & Lynn Cain. All of the tables were filled with a great variety of all things that cut. There was a good crowd of members as well as the general public.
Our next show in Marlboro will be on November 14th, the week before the New York Custom Show that has been recently moved to Secaucus, NJ, due to a potentially unfavorable knife climate in New York City. Make your reservations early for this popular show and location so as not to be disappointed. For tables contact Bill - 978-544-5348 or Jckknv1@aol.com
A regular Board meeting was held after the show. The board voted to raise the annual dues for 2011 from $15.00 to $20.00 and the Life membership from $150.00 to $200.00. It is not too late to upgrade your 2010 dues to life member and save $50.00 as well as not having to worry about paying annual dues again. The board also discussed the possibility of having a one day show in New Hampshire and approved the idea, hopefully we can find a volunteer or two to facilitate an event there.
Our next show will be at the Clarion Inn in Bristol, CT on the 17th of October. This will be our second year at this location and you can get additional information or reserve a table by contacting Dominick Violante – 860-830-0822 or email dviolante@sbcglobal.net
Until January, Art
